Attention Parents

Mack Elementary students have the advantage of receiving a full scholarship package to attend University of Southern California once they graduate from high school through the NAI Program.


Black History Month Program is on February 23, at 8:30 a.m.

Parent Conference Week:  February 27 - March 3

During the conference week, students will be dismissed at 1:49 P.M.

Read-a-Thon Assembly

Read-a-Thon Assembly is Friday, February 17. 



Newspaper Club begins Thursday, February 2, 2017 from 3 pm to 4 pm. All 5th graders are invited to attend. Sessions will be four weeks long. Come and join the fun! Ms. Jackson and students from USC will be hosting this event. 

Spirit days for February:

  • Friday 2/3 - Freedom Friday! (wear red, white and blue)
  • Friday 2/10 - Dress to impress!
  • Friday 2/17 - Loving Red! (wear the color red)
  • Friday 2/24 - College Day (wear your classroom college colors)
  • You can always wear your Mack shirt!

Field Trip to Science and Technology, Engineering and Writing Symposium at USC on Saturday, February 4 - The 4th and 5th grade students have been invited. Please arrive promptly. We will be leaving the John Mack Elementary  at 8:30 am. Parents are welcome to come along! 


Congratulations to all the students who get to school on time everyday. Continue to come to school everyday and on time. 

Character Education

This month we will focus on the word, "Caring"

What does it mean to be caring?

1. Showing concern for the well being of others.

2. Using your words and actions to help someone.

3. Giving of yourself without expecting anything in return.

Some words that describe trait of caring are: Kind, thoughtful, sharing, helping, understanding

Help support Mack teachers. Any donation amount will help our teachers get

valuable resources for the students in their classroom.
